Great little speaker set! Even so, to avoid pin failure I decided to leave it connected to the subwoofer at all times. They have incredible sound! Acouztic soldered the connection so that the subwoofer was always on and it now works great. I think the pin broke because I set it up and disassemble it multiple times per week which weakened the connector pin. Needed some black ones and found them on eBay, hooray!
